Suggestions / Re: NEW BASES IN BIG AIRPORT NOT ALLOWED
« on: May 21, 2012, 09:47:38 pm »One small company that starts in a big airport, and incoming after just a little time, must fight with a small plane (20-25 seats) agaist company with Boeing Aurbus and 150-200 seats planes.
Later in a game world, there will be more aircraft available on the used market, which means you can get more value out your cash.
And, if you have a small plane, why are you even considering flying against competition with much larger aircraft?
Suggestions / Re: NEW BASES IN BIG AIRPORT NOT ALLOWED
« on: May 18, 2012, 08:53:10 pm »How can a new small, or a middle company try to fight on this city?
It's very easy.
My idea is to controll the bases on the biggest airports.
The airports must be divided in different rank. And you can take only two bases in the top ranking airport.
For example I fix a base on Paris CDG... OK... then I can fix a new base on Heatrow.... But I cant take a third bases on AMSTERDAM.
Interesting idea, but then people would simply base at the largest 300k airports when they've used up their 350k quota.
Game Strategy / Re: AM tutorial video
« on: May 14, 2012, 08:10:47 pm »I will try to see if I can make some more videos. What is the next step after creating the first route?
* Buying/leasing aircraft
* Using the brokerage system
* Opening new focus cities
Don't think there's much else. User should learn the rest (strategy, etc.) on their own.
Game Strategy / Re: Leasing out: how to make profit out of it
« on: March 30, 2012, 11:34:02 pm »But, for me, leasing out aircraft is far more trouble than it's worth and I've found that it rarely justifies the effort.
Back when public worlds had 2000-2500 players, you could make substantial supplemental incoming leasing out aircraft. Now, it's much more difficult and not worth it, IMO.
Private World Discussion & Invitation / Re: Question about joining a Private World
« on: February 10, 2012, 05:29:30 pm »I thought about joining a Private World for the first time, and I wonder is there any way to see what cities are free before I join?Not at this time.
I'd like to join in a Private World at a big city without getting into that mad competition right awayThere will be no competition, so it gets boring fast.

Honestly, then he needs to save up for an absolute minimum of 10 B762ER if he wants this to be successful. Realistically it should be closer to 40-50, but most players aren't patient.

« on: November 08, 2011, 05:03:03 pm »Can you just replace it with a page detailing how to join #airlinemogul? Perhaps some links to some web-based and stand-alone IRC clients, too.
