I own a station wagon, and frankly my friends are starting to understand why i bought one (tailgate partys without the gas guzling engine :P)

Hehe.....
My family owns an 1.8L engine 8-a-car :roll: (A car able to carry 8 person :wink: ), and don't ask me the speed of that car - 30km/h when uphill :cry:
But, its REALLY low-fuel use car :twisted: . Our family use under 100L per month  :D  (even my car going uphill for at least 4 times a day :shock: )

Ask the major car companies why they don't start to produce them?
Im sure that there is a huge influence from politician and oil magnates to keep them making fuel running cars.
Take note that the tax on fuel is one of the major income of the govt. regardless the country.

a) They cost a *vegetable*load of money.
b) They often have bugs
c) Try to get a solar/electrical car that can carry 5 passengers for 100 km at a speed of at least 80 km- and you'll have me convinced.

Of course the 3rd point isn't that important if you live in the city and don't have to do long trips in your car. The first point however applies to city dwellers as well as to people who live in landly areas.

All I need is a electrical / solar car that carries 8 people and able to going uphills @ 20 km/h with a gradient of 40 degrees. And yes, that road is the major road to my home.

I think your last point should fall under my b) point: I live in Middle Europe and I've enough troubles with the car batteries as it is (luckily I live on a hill so if the car battery dies I can simply start the car by letting it roll).

Also you have pretty long recharge times for the batteries and if they go bust that's very expensive.

Wow..... the cheapest gas for even regular in Seattle is 4.25.... Premium is closing in on 4.60.  :shock:

I drove from my home to Dublin and back in the last 2 days. 320 (512km) mile trip (Including a short trip in Dublin) and it cost €43. Means taking the train is cheaper!

There are calculators on the internet where you just have to type in the number o liters and you'll get the number of gallons. Don't mix up the American& Imperial Gallon though!

My wife wanted to book a round trip to Frankfurt by train (650km in total). She would have paid 119 EUR. So she took the car  :wink:

the petrol station in front of my house says at the moment 1.29 GPB But considering the fact that it went up 2-4p in 24 hours, I doubt it will stay there for long
