May I be the Republic of China(ROC)?

I'd love to be able to give it to you, but Taiwan / ROC is currently not a member of the UN General Assembly. ;)

ROC is one of the co-founders of UN!

True, except it currently does not have a seat in the UNGA, as per reso 2758: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Nations_General_Assembly_Resolution_2758 in effect since 10/25/1971. ;)

in-character:

Civil
Two Russian nationals were arrested by London police today after having fired 27 rounds of live ammunition in a mall 10 kilometres west of the London city centre. A man aged 27 and a woman, 35, were taken to hospital, condition stable. In other civilian news, the UK government has ordered thirty carbon-dioxide filters for its cities and has mandated all vehicles to be checked for emissions (and will be stricter checks). All failing vehicles will be scrapped and all parts (unless out of order) reused.

Military
In response to the abrupt eruption of violence in the Tasman Sea, the UK has ordered British Airways to cease flights to Sydney immediately. Three 50,000 tonne frigates, five cruisers, a battleship and a fully-armoured aircraft carrier, the Ark Royal, have been sent at full speed to aid Australia and New Zealand and to help the two sides come to a ceasefire as soon as possible. HRH has sent an appeal to both states to remain peaceful and not to conduct violent activities. The Commonwealth Office also issued a warning to both states this morning.

International
The UK government congratulates the Philippines on its actions in mitigating the global warming issue. It has sent twenty million Euros to Manila as a reward. The UK government has sent an envoy to China to discuss aerospace issues, regarding China's recent launch of a new global satellite tracking system.

Russia opposes the arrest of 2 of their diplomats in London recently. 27 rounds was greatly over exaggerated, it was more like 26...

The Philippines will bring the War in New Zealand and Australia in the Agenda of the ASEAN summit and asks Singapore to review its strategy.

Singapore argues that in having no rockets to launch the missile heads they'd be the perfect country to store them.

Yesterday a Businessman was caught on tape while urinating into an elevator and after that blocking its doors with a chewing gum. As a result his picture is printed in today's Straits times and the government will revise its eased policy on chewing gums later this week.

Singapore advises that at the given time it would be smarter for GB to withdraw its battleships from the region and that these ships are barred from using the Singaporean habour and the Singapore Straits.

Military
Today, we have launched 37 nukes at the United Kingdom. This is a response to UK's military visit to Oceania. We expect the nukes to kill Chester Li.

Please ignore Jps. NK doesn't have 37 nukes. Nor is Chester Li currently in GB, let alone Europe.

@EXTspotter: Again, love to be able to do it, but Sealand isn't in the UN General Assembly :P

And on the side: Can anyone besides Scandalian, Blue sky and blumage be professional please?

The Philippines Grants The UK to use Manila Bay to harbor their carriers and battleships, and will set up a ban against north korea for starting another useless war.The Philippines would like to remind that the UN was established to promote and maintain world peace, and not to start Wars. We're sure that the war in Oceania will end soon, and for the mean time The Govt calls all it's nationals in the region to head  home. The Philippine Embassy at Canberra and Wellington will be closed starting next week and will re open as soon as possible.

The border police has by chance controlled a container today sent by a dubious company in Peking, adressed to Number 10 Downing Street, UK. Buried under a ton of Chinese toys they found a missile defensive system. Of course we do not approve this weapon smuggling and confiscate them.
