Not sure about your parts of the world, but here in Paris the days are getting longer, brighter, greener, and warmer. Always a nice time of year!

I like stuffy & hot :)

What a terrible evening yesterday at Notre Dame... went to see it burn.  Such a special place that has always meant a lot to me.

But the worse was averted, and we will rebuild it!

"Fluctuat nec mergitur" is the motto of Paris. It means : "Tossed by the waves, but never sunk".

Yes, I saw. Surprising that they didn't take more care when renovating (if that's the cause of the fire)

Sounds like they recovered the rooster from the top of the spire. Will be interesting to see what they restore back to, the more recent spire or the one that came before.

I was listening to the French Ambassador to the United States on the radio yesterday on the way to work, he was saying it's pretty open ended for now as to what they will do. I guess at some point they will decide what they want to do and select a design then.

I think it would be nice to have something new on that church. As all old buildings it has been reconstructed and changed a number of times
