Thats it for the moment but brokers can also operate normal airlines at the same time, the only disadvantage is you are automatically charged for any aircraft sent to you as scrap and you have no control over what you get, so if someone wants to scrap 100 Beech 1900D's, the chances are your going to end up with 20 of them![/list]

Is that 10% of listed price or 10% of depreciated value?
Also, can brokers scrap their planes? If they could, where would the planes go? (back to the brokers?) And what would the value of the brokers' scrapes be?

Good questions;

Firstly its 10% of the depreciated value (The value at time of scrapping)
Brokers have an option to scrap but it goes to other brokers or yourself so watch out!

So the planes would always remain in the world? Or is there a way to take some of them off? I mean there will be a point where no one would use some models... and before someone say that the classical planes have to remain; frankly, we would sell/lease the planes (and make $) if there is the demand :wink:

hmm... does the broker own ac #2, dash-8-300 i believe, by any chance? I'd like that plane (though i suppose it's a better case-study for whomever has it to keep it).

I have an idea, why don't we have a list of members who want to be a broker, and then a poll, with the top 3 (most voted for) becoming brokers.

Aircraft #2 is with User #2, who hasn't logged in since the last reset.

Am I broker yet? When I first started the game, I set my status as broker. So I think I should be a Broker because I'm not only trying to do the job, but also I'm labeled as one.

1. There are only like a dosen or so players who are active in forum... so would the vote be representable?

2. Do you really want a popularity contest? People's feelings would get hurt.

3. Maybe next time you should run it through StephenM in private, and before he post it. Afterall you are one of his admins, and nothing can change after people have responded to StephenM's post.
