I don't know if any of you have noticed but a number of airports in Europe have run out of gates. I am not only talking about some popular airports, but also several small ones. For example, there is no way all 50 gates at Alta, Norway (ALF) are used. There are only 21 flight frequency used by 9 airlines. Large airports like LHR, ZRH, AMS, BCN, CPH..... and some more has also run out all of a sudden. Now, I am not based in Europe but I do keep an eye on the gates for future development. There are reasons to believe the gates were rented by player(s) without utilizing them. Correct me if I am wrong but admins, please take a look at the situation.

Strange. i found two seemingly hogging 'dead'ish airlines, but none of the gates you mention are hogged by them. 355 with Atlanta, 320 with Barcelona.

oh and there appears to be some kind of multi situation based in poland (Łódź-Lublinek) as there's a string of airlines based there (5-8) with the exact same amount of negative net worth.

I did notice Barcelona (BCN)... it is actually on the my list on the previous post.  I didn't bother listing all the airport with 0 gates and I am too lazy to check each player one by one  :P .

Moved to bugs.

TO ALL USERS:
IF you return excess gates (within the next 5 days), we will let you keep your airline.
IF you do NOT return those gates, you will be banned or deleted.

THAT IS A WARNING.

cheers,
-tom

Yes, it is 5 gates max. (that includes over all airports, so if you have 1 extra gate in MEL, SYD, BNE, ADL & PER, you will have to return your extra DRW gate.)

I have 12 gates at Bejing and Ghuanzao. I'm not using all of them at the moment, but I do plan on it as I've used about 40 percent of both and am making more routes. I have to return those don't I?

You will most likely have to return at least 6 of those gates.

Well, I can't because Ghuanzao has less than 70 available slots and Beijing has less than 60. I can take away 3, 4 for each.

Can anyone come up with a novel method of checking (Regularly) if gates are not utilised that would not have to be done the same way as costs, DOP, date change, aircraft aging, aircraft delivery etc is done (ie A script is run hourly/daily) because I am just afraid of having problems of the game "Pausing" regularly because there are too many calculations to carry out in one go.

Maybe having a checkbox system, where we can check X, Y & Z airlines at once?

Yeah, that's fine. I have an hour here and there, so it'll be possible.

uh. from the sounds of it you need to simply code a half-decent (or basic) admin control panel.

Yeah, there are a few features but most of it is done from the database and only I have access to the database.
