Time's up.

The following airports are on my hit list:
LCJ  - Łódź-Lublinek - 50 gates
AAL - Aalborg Airport - 50 gates
AAR - Aarhus Airport - 50 gates
ABZ - Aberdeen - 100 gates
AES - Alesund Vigra - 50 gates
ALC - Alicante - 150 gates
LEI - Almeria - 100 gates
ALF - Alta - 50 gates
AOC - Altenburg - 50 gates
AMS - Amsterdam - 250 gates
AYT - Antalya - 200 gates
ATH - Athens - 200 gates
BCN - Barcelona - 250 gates
BRU - Brussels - 250 gates
CPH - Copenhagen-Köbenhavn - 250 gates
LHR - London Heathrow - 300 gates
LTN - London Luton - 150 gates
PMI - Palma de Mallorca - 250 gates
PRG - Prague Ruzyne - 200 gates
FCO - Rome - 250 gates
ARN - Stockholm-Arlanda - 250 gates
STR - Stuttgart - 150 gates
VIE - Vienna - 250 gates
ZRH - Zurich - 250 gates
SAT - San Antonio - 150 gates
RSW - Fort Myers - 150 gates

For all the above gates, I want:
How many gates you have out of the amount above, and how much you are using them.

read as appears on gates page.

SAT     San Antonio     0     139
RSW     Fort Myers     0     129

(you ain't getting them back, they're in full use).

all other gates listed, 0-1 gates, 1 frequency min if owned as they don't appear on my 'select returnable gates' page.

edit: i threw the names of about 10 inactive, substantially negative cash value airlines based out of the very first one listed in a pm, due to other concerns.

edit2: here's a little help:

Barcelona: look at ID 320, they have 56 gates there, but only 26 listed flights from it (they appear to be using 64 slots out of 560 available to them).  Also they're steeply negative, my guess is inactive (but that's not my decision).

341     123fly     123     pax     €-29,400,000     549
342    SEMAIR    SEY    pax    €-29,400,000    576
343    flyfun    fly    pax    €-29,400,000    550
344    Sk LIN    SKL    pax    €-29,400,000    551
345    Air Future    AAI    pax    €-29,400,000    558
346    Air Walk    AIX    pax    €-29,400,000    562
347    Airline 1    AXX    pax    €-29,400,000    564
348    Dicki Air    DIC    pax    €-29,400,000    569
349    UMU    UMU    pax    €-29,400,000    571
350    Johston Air    JOH    pax    €-29,400,000    572
351    Joke Air    JOK    pax    €-29,400,000    573
352    MirAir    MRA    pax    €-29,400,000    574
353    AirCal    CAl    pax    €-29,400,000    575
354    WALTAIR    XXX    pax    €-29,400,000    578

10 of these are based on LCJ (the others seem to be based in problem cities primarily).  they also all have 0 aircraft, and identical debts. (fishy?) that's 20 of the 50 gates at LCJ identified.

edit3: I realize southampton is not identified on your list, but ID=604 has 11 gates there, 0 flights anywhere.

Maxxline has 5 gates at rsw, uses 28 slots (note, if freed, i can and will expand further in RSW, likely returning it to 0 within 24 hours. mmm. planes.)

Manchester isn't on the list, but it has 0 flights anywhere, 0 planes, and 8 gates at manchester (plus a few misc.)

You want all of us to post here?
Oh well...

(Airport Code, Airport Name, Slots Available, Gates )
AMS Amsterdam 8 1
CPH Copenhagen - Köbenhavn 8 1
LHR London Heathrow 6 1
FCO Rome 8 1
ARN Stockholm-Arlanda 8 1
VIE Vienna 8 1

All of them are served from KHI and LHE. (LHR also served from HKG and CTU).
I am interested in serving PMI, but can't get a gate :(

On a side note, when returning a plane, I have noticed the followings:
"The routes on this plane has been closed. Slots have NOT been returned." (or something similar...)
This is what is causing the tie up of flight times in players' planes, and may play a role in tying up gates too (because slots aren't freed). I am not sure on that because I deleted all my routes manually before returning the plane.

Can anyone come up with a novel method of checking (Regularly) if gates are not utilised that would not have to be done the same way as costs, DOP, date change, aircraft aging, aircraft delivery etc is done (ie A script is run hourly/daily) because I am just afraid of having problems of the game "Pausing" regularly because there are too many calculations to carry out in one go.

Uh, you could borrow a page from AE's book and create a utilization statistic for the view_airline page.  This would be pretty public, and only needs to be calculated whenever a new route is created and/or a new gate is purchased.  In fact if you want to be really advanced, once a day you simply have the system do a quick check where anything with <50% utilization & >=10 gates sends a flagging auto-message to your 2 site admins. (should keep the major idiotic hogging down, or at least watched better)

EDIT: update RE: SAT. quick excel math says noone has returnable gates at SAT at present.  all slots present and accounted for (though about 63 slots are unused, they're from airlines using at least 1 frequency less then their 10 alloted).

edit2: unless my math is grossly off... RSW somehow has 153 gates. >_> all but 2 in practical use levels (1freq minimum), 2 spare being found in Maxxline as listed earlier.... but yet that comes to a total of over 1500 slots in use.  -_- yeah. it's a little strange to me.

ARN-Stolkholm 1 1
AMS-Amsterdam 1 2
CPH-Copenhagen-Kobenhavn 1 1
LHR-London Heathrow 1 3
FCO-Rome 1 2

That's all I have, 1 gate from each of those.

i found every last one that's definitely missing, though i have a theory as to a few other shortchanges in the game.

Don't just accuse one airline. It is not fair. At least 3 airlines have routes that fall into "gate hogging' category.

And please use private messaging for this.

Lean back. That's really all. Things will happen, but you have to understand it will take time.
