I found that B733 has a lot of users, but why? Is it better than 732Adv.?

Less fuel burn? It should have, CFM56's are a lot less thirsty than JT8D's in general. Also a later withdrawal date, so you won't have to worry about a replacement for ages.

Unless we do a 21+ year round, you don't have to worry about replacing old planes due to retirement. Just because the 10B is being withdrawn in 1984 doesn't mean they disappear. It just means you can't buy it anymore.

Yes but you won't be able to expand your fleet anymore with new caravelles- you'll have to find something else.

Yeah, but fleet commonality doesn't mean anything in AM.

Shrug...  Personal preference?  If you read my little dissertation in the other thread about the 752, the happy medium for seats (for me) is right around 120 seats most of the time.

I'm starting to expand from the 732ADV (You're looking at the volume leader for them) to the 732ADV HGW's but only because I'm working routes now that are 1700+ miles away.  I'd rather have speed at this point so I can get 3 round trips out of the plane rather than 2.5 since that will allow me to run 2 1x and 2 0.5x routes making me more money than having the extra seats.

As long as I have to fill routes that the 732Adv fits to I am not going to change. This round is too short to have any advantages from moving to a better aircraft. The HGW costs 21M more than the 732Adv and takes two days instead of one to be delivered. I can make more profit from the 732Adv's than from the HGW if I add up money to the end of this round.

I operate with both aircraft. The B732 Adv. on the short euopean routes and to the canary islands. And then I operate with the B733 to the Middle East and north Africa. This because they are faster, have a greater range and can carry more passengers.
Plus if you should fly to Middle East from Europe I can give the advice to buy B733 instead of a  larger mediumhaul aicraft like the B757, B767(non ER), A300 and A310. I have tried to operate to Middle East with both A310 s and B733, that I use now, and the B733 is alot better. It just donĀ“t have a smaller price then the A310 it`s also being constructed one day faster.

I dont understand why people like the 733. They are nearly twice as expensive than the 732/adv!

But compare with mediumhaul aircraft instead and you will see why.

I would way rather pay 21 million less than 733 for a 732 Adv.  If I need something bigger, I go right to the 757.
