I would way rather pay 21 million less than 733 for a 732 Adv.  If I need something bigger, I go right to the 757.

+1 or even better a 767 as i dont like the 757

Look at the top three players in the game then look at their aircraft selection, you'll notice a trend which is volume over size.

I buy my aircraft based on the speed, range and price.  The few hundred 732-ADVs mostly service airports up to 1700-2100 miles.  Around that range I start to transition in to 732-ADV-HGWs because they have a longer range but are also faster and can usually squeeze in an extra .5 frequency.  They're good up to about 2700 miles and after that I get in to the 733's which are good up to 3275 miles.  After that I have a small padded range where I'm going to squeeze in some TU-154M's because again, they are fast.  After that I go to the 757 and 767.

Obviously this is not The Law.  Running a large plane on short routes between large airports can be a good thing because there is passenger demand.  It cracks me up though when I see someone put a 757/767 on a 500 mile route between 350k and 150k airports...  You might as well save the money and just put a 2X 737 on the route as the operating costs and massively shorter turn time will yield you better results.

But many of these short 757/767 routes are just because people have like 4 h left on a plane.

Of course, and I've said that before but deliberately removed it from my post because I didn't want to beat a dead horse. :)

I buy my planes based on my business model. So far the plane of choice has been MD83 executive jets.

Danke!  Though it doesn't really count since he seems to have surrendered/quit.  Shrug.  It's like I'm competing against a kid... Or a college student or something.
