I know that it is very important to set up base in a good airport with good location and high PAX. But i think it is too saturated at some airports. Took one of my friend as an example. His base in Hong Kong. He have get an Dornier-100(or 200) and Helio H-600. It can fly about 700 nm. When he try to find for some routes capable for this two planes, it is very unfortunately that i  can only find two good routes for his Helio (Please be noticed that the 2 routes are over 1000nm). It is even worst when he find routes for his Dornier. He have find out that there is no routes which suit him!( His Standard is quite high, no competion).
Although his target is too high, but he can still show me some fantastic figures for me. He said that he had find quite a few routes( which gate rent is 25000 or 50000) with 4 airline having competitions. I think it is quite imposible as i am in US. For me i can have no competions even i am in atlanta ( For some routes less than 600nm) The difference is too high isn't it.

Another amazing statistic from Jps...

Since we dont ask players for their country of residence or nationality, I just took a look at the statistics for the last month. 8% of total visits came from HongKong. So that might be a reason why so many people base there, obviously they dont do it for economic reasons.

That may be true, but 20+% is not close to 8. ;)

And yet he enters a Massive Multiplayer Online Game!

Although I almost agree here. Going into Hong Kong is murder! I'm based close by and I feel the effects. Same last round, if I remember correctly.

As AM is a MMORPG, it is meant to be a relatively crowded game, but I certainly agree with some, it can be slightly crowded at most airports in game.

If an airport has too much competition, just base out of another airport    Last round, I based out of smaller airports and did very well (in the top 60 worldwide iirc).

there are a lot of 250-300k gates that are less competitive
if its getting to hot just move somewhere cooler.

It will be use ful at first, but if you are in Europe, i think you will have many competions anyway, right?

You will have lots of competition anywhere. The more profitable a route/base is, the more saturated it will be.
