It doesn't remove the basic fact they can't feed the current population at their current level of output.  Or the fact the agriculture output is in decline, and their population is still increasing.

I'll bet it has more to do with the fact she is a dangerous Socialist rather than the fact she might wear a skirt.....

Not a good day for Hilter-ly....  Lost everything there was to lose,  3 states and the Virgin Islands.  Her lead is down to 25 delegates.

Ok, this from the guy who said there was a reason 13 year olds should not vote...
Secondly, Hitler was not a socialist, he was right wing, just like Bush...

I know that the US is just a semi-democracy. A country where some peoples votes carry more weight than others, meaning that the person who gets the most votes does not necessarily get to be president. A country that has the largest lobby in the world, a lobby that pays billions to get what they want. You can buy war in the US if you just pay enough... How come there were no war in the gulf while Clinton was in office, but as soon as the Republicans came to power they attacked Iraq? While the first attack on WTC happened when Clinton were in office (1 month) it was the events during George seniors administration that led to it, and the second attack was due to George Jrs administration.

And by saying that McCain is the right man to lead your soldiers into war you kind of scare me. Is that that what US precidency is about?
A countrys first priority should be to not go to war. And who is benefitting from war? The weapons industry? the oil industry? the families who lose their loved ones in order to secure income for a select few? It's all about money, not politics. If it was about politics the US would have bombed the crap out of countries like Albania, North Korea and Cuba as they are Communist dictatorships. But why don't they? Cause there is nothing there that they want. Talking abut freeing the iraqui people while people in North Korea get executed for not saving the picture of their leader Kim when there's a house fire. Not even Saddam Hussein did that...

My family has lived in the US for 8 years, and after that in China for 4 years, and I have been to the US many times and I do love that country. Saying that Americans as a whole is ignorant is too much, it's just that the ignorant shines through more in the US than elsewhere. If the same effort to find ignorant people was done in Sweden I'm pretty sure we would look just as stupid as the image we get about Americans.

Okay...  It was a BAD joke.  It was 3am, I've gotten about 2 hours sleep in two days and it was funny at the time.

But....
Hilter was socialist in his economic policies.  He nationalized heavy industry.  Bush hasn't....
He started the RAD, a program putting the unemployed to work on public projects.  Bush hasn't (Clinton proposed a somewhat similar project when Clinton mk.1 was in office)  The closest example in US history was the WPA.
He strictly controlled what companies produced, and a what rate. He introduced social programs that offered cheap travel, entertainment options, medical treatment.  All hallmarks of socialism.  The fact that he used the economic gains from the changes to build a huge military rather than spend it on more social programs is where the separation occurs.

If you take the McCain comment out of context it could be misconstrued.  McCain is a disabled former POW.  Like I said he is intimately familiar with the challenges soldiers, sailors, and aviators face.  Not all challenges with the military are military in nature.  That also applies to the challenges faced by the families and nation. He is the ONLY candidate in the field left that has any military service in his resume. IF it is necessary to deploy the military somewhere, he has the first-hand knowledge and experience needed to balance out what he is being told by his advisers.  I have no idea if it will be necessary to deploy the military in any form other than humanitarian aid, but if it is

Comparing Kim Jung Il to Saddam Hussien is a bit humorous......   The US dealt with the insane dictator it put into power, when is China going to deal with the one they put in power??????  The US government was completely responsible for Hussien even gaining power in the first place.  Just like China has propped up Jung Il for years....  But lets just leave the Kurds out of any discussion.

So what you said was that Clinton gets a free pass for the first bombing which was at the start of his presidency.  BUT, its W. Bush's fault for the murders which were at the start of his....  It doesn't work like that.   Realistically, the problems between the Islamic fundamentalists and the western world go back much further than either Bush presidency.  The beginnings of the problems can be traced back to 1953 when the western world helped the Iranian Shah remain in power.  Not just the US was responsible for the meddling and now enormous problems, but that is part of the responsibilties to be carried when you are the leader.  Your nation has a huge target on its back.  Attacking buildings in Canada, or Australia simply doesn't have the worldwide political effect that it does attacking ones in the US.  The invaders chose the World Trade Centers for ease of attack, it would have been much harder to carry out a successful attack on the White House.  While it would have made for a much larger political statement.

Nazi Party = National Socialist German Workers Party.  Hitler and his ilk were self described socialists and as Cornfield pointed out, the description was accurate.

The problem with the whole left-right continuum that everyone likes to try and pigeonhole people to is that it is not a line.  It is circular and the further around to the extremes that you get, the more you begin to resemble the other side.  At the point were the two ends would meet, you simply end up with the distinction being between a corportist state or a communist state.  In either case, the power would be concentrated in a few select individuals and as the saying goes, absolute power corrupts absolutely.
