Last round I tried to keep a all lockheed R6V fleet (its was a brilliant aircraft! rangewise and capacitywise :) )

This round I'm trying to have a short haul 737 fleet (for the middle east) and 747 aircraft on european and transatlantic, and australian routes  8)

Yes, North America was way too crowded. I thought that there are less players. I decided to move before all the gates run out in North America.

hmmm.. HS748E and Caravelle 10B?   any discount?

They are the ones getting kept!

One more Page Herald 200 for someone to buy, and that DHC-5 should be bought by an alliance member... 8)

"This round I'm trying to have a short haul 737 fleet (for the middle east) and 747 aircraft on european and transatlantic, and australian routes Cool"

...and while you're saving up to buy those 737's, other players are buying 6 cheaper aircraft and establishing routes.  When you do put a 737 on that short haul, tanking the route to $100 is going to hurt you a lot more than someone flying a cheap plane.

B99's to airports with $50,000 gates
F-27 or similar (Fh-227 etc) for lower pax numbers on airports with $100,000 gates
B737-200 or Argosy to high pax $100,000 airports and above
Undecided for long haul.

Right now, I'm looking at L-410s for very low capacity routes (though I do have that one DHC-6-200 in there) and AN-24Vs. As time goes on I'll finally decide and get my "3rd step" once I can comfortably afford them and depending what is on the market then. I see the Tu-154 is stupposed to enter service, it is not as good at the "M" variant, I know that, but I think it should be pretty decent, so I'm looking foward to see how that works out.

AN-24V's will be my workhouse untill I can get bigger Antonov's, Tupolev's, and Ilysuin's. No other types minus Beech's, Fokkers, and planes made in Asia. :D

You get three times the amount of money flying from a major city to a 50k airport by the way :D

Like Vincent air, I plan my routes between airports except I use:

DHC-6 for small routes
Fairchild/Fokker 27 variants on the lager small routes to the smaller medium routes.
737 for large flights between airports in North America.
I hate un uniformed fleets.

I also may invest in B99's along with DC-9's.

For intercontinental I will probably use 747's and DC-10's

Although with me I tend to go for aircraft I know and like hence the Beechcraft, DHC-6's, Fokkers and of course (anyone that knows me well) the mighty 737! (which by the way is the best airplane ever!)

I am slowly trying to change my fleet to B99's, HS748E's and Caravelle 10B's (like a few others I think) as these seem to be the best value-for-money option. Probably 747-200 for Long Haul.
