Is anyone else trying to unify their fleet.  I am.  Or are you just using what you can get a hold of.  Right now my fleet consists of.

Fairchild Hiller FH-227 - 13
Fairchild Hiller FH-227B - 6

The largest operator of both types I might add.

I'm aiming for something approaching fleet uniformity - it's difficult at this early stage, but yeah, I like the idea of being "realistic" and having a fairly small number of types.

For instance, I've got two Otters, two B99s, a Nord 260 Super Broussard and an Aerospatiale N262. The Otters were stop-gap aircraft and will eventually be disposed of and the B99s will become a reasonably-sized subfleet. I will standardize on N262s and Fokkers, and I can justify the Super Broussard because it was sort of the prototype for the N262 :)

Yeah, once I upgrade again it will either be the 737 or the 727 for the domestic flights.

Once I get to be a big airline, I will use the DC-9's and 737's.  More 737's though, I will use the DC-9's for shorter hops.

I have made an overview with different route types that I am flying in notepad. I am matching aircraft to my different route types. So getting fleet uniformity based on this.

Currently I have 4 types in my fleet.
The Fokker F27 in 2 variations for the short haul routes with medium and high density (might get a third variation in there later on)
The Pilatus pc6 Turbo porters for for the short haul low density routes
The Shorts sc7 Skyvan for the short haul routes with medium density (these will be replaced with F27's)
The Hawker Siddeley Argosy 650 Srs 200 for the medium haul routes with high density

I didn't count the Beechcraft. I will keep that one flying to use as the launch plane for new bases.

Fokker 27s to start off. We'll see about larger aircraft later.

"Actually now that we have the "boss"   here in this thread. IRL Airlines have higher cost when they fly with to many different types/manufacturers planes. Is there a way that could be modelled in the code?

It should be possible alright, I'd need to discuss it with Will as to the mathematical formula required.

I've got plenty of stopgap aircraft.  In my ideal AM fleet though:

F27 family
F28
HS748E

Haven't decided beyond these.

Currently I'm replacing the last two Beeches, so it's an all-Fokker fleet (F27-line and F28) for me.
