After doing a little research.. I'm guessing we're gonna start with a Fokker 27 next round?

Not decided yet, I was thinking of the DC-3, something vintage! :)

So you did take my idea. That means you owe me AM cash (seriously, I posted it a month ago and you said it was a good idea). I had made the comment about the Airbus A380 and DC-3 (in some crazy topic that isn't there anymore). You started freaking out when i mentioned the A380.

It was discussed a few times before. It all depends on the data going into the game for 1960. That starts in 1940.

It wasn't you. Sorry about that.

If I remember correctly... oh geeze! I did mention the Boeing 377, but not the DC-3 (I might have, IDK)

but... they stopped producing DC-3s.. way~~ back.. they stopped producing DC-6s before 1960.. actually Fokker 27 could be a good choice, under 50 passengers, around 1000nm range.

We've already had that one a lot, I'd like to see something different. No matter how Dutch it is, the F27 is getting boring.

Remember, I've never said whats for definate. ;)

Some planes that are possibilities now since looking them up:
  • Avro York
  • AS.57 Ambassador
  • Vickers Viscount
  • Vickers VC.1 Viking
  • Sud-Est Armagnac
  • Tupolev Tu-70 (Never actually produced)
  • Boeing 307 (377 might be a tad big)
  • Convair 240
  • Douglas DC-4
  • Douglas DC-6
  • Lockheed Constellation
All aircraft are from 1940-1949 era.

One thing we can do is have a choice, and have certain types per continent. So if starting in Europe you get European planes, in the US local planes etc.

The planes will have to be awfully similar then.

The Martin 2-0-2/4-0-4 is another option...

but honestly, the DC-3 is the only real choice for the period. EVERYONE had DC-3s, they were common as the 737 and A320 combined are today.
