There are alot of missunderstanding with the Planage.
Mostly it is usefull to replace plans after 3 years.
but if the only way for you to scrap your 3years old plans it would be better to use them much longer.
because you will lose alot of the plans value for nothing.
after 3 years the plan have more then 90% of its original value.
as long as your fleet are not have bigger plans then 737 or a320 you can use them for 7 to 10 years cause the Maintenance Fees and the lose of the plane value can compensaed . Yes your profits not looks not so much as you use a new airliner but the value of the plans not dropp from 90% to 0%.
Sometimes it can make sense to buy older and much more used plans.
i uesed to buy some older plans for 50% of there value and use them for some years. this works fine.
my calculation is buy 3 older or 1 new. You can more profit out of the 3 old for 4-5 years.
