A bit of a shame in my opinion, because I'd have to say the A320 is the 'best' Airbus on AM... you can do most anything with it, should've kept that one up.. :P

But yea, voted A310 and A330 since those are the two aircraft I was closest to getting last (Ended up buying a 767-200ER)

I vote the A320 too!! You know BA has a A318 that flies LCY to JFK nonstop!

An A380 might be good for ATL-HND or -LHR, -PEK, -CDG, or something of that caliber, but nothing else. I really don't know how Emirates gets away with having so many in the real world (15 active, 75 more on order). And limited landing slots is no excuse, save maybe LHR.

It stops in Shannon for at the outbound leg due to LCYs short runway.

I believe that has more to do with the prevailing headwinds that usually go from west to east, as well as allowing passengers to go through customs.

^^ Headwinds might be a problem too, but I'm sure that an A318 wouldn't be able to get to JFK from LCY fully loaded.
