Is there any evidence of this aircraft existing in real life? I've done a Google search and all results are references to Airline mogul...

Googling Vardax brings me up with teh Vardax corporation. It seems to be defunct, but it specialised itself in converting de Havilland Canada DHC-3 Otter's into the "Vazar Dash 3 Turbine Otter". Only 2 seem to have been converted.

Edit: Make that 90+ converted to date. It seems that Vardax is known today as Vazar.
