No I haven't, and I probably never will. And for good reasons too.
1. It is well inside Copenhagen CTR, and I will need permission to come inside that zone. It is just too bothersome calling them on radio and asking for permission, and I'd prefer to just fly around. Too many heavys and mediums occupy that frequency, and it is good airmanship not to disturb those more than necessary.
2. The rules for flying above a built-up area are as following: Maintain at least 1000 feet above the highest object within 600 meters of you, and be within glide distance of an unpopulated field so that you can crash and burn without bringing people on the ground in danger.
I have seen plenty of GA planes flying above Copenhagen, and they must be pretty awesome planes. I know for a fact that the PA-28-161 has an awesome glide ratio of 1:10 (According to Piper, more like 1:8 in reality). Thats a lot better than the Cessna 172, Piper Arrow, and most other GA planes! When it comes down to it, 1:10 isn't great at all. The highest obstacle in the center of Copenhagen is 561 feet. So that puts me at 1600 feet. Thats about 2.5 nm of gliding distance, or about 4.5 - 5 km. And thats without turning.
