I think KLM Cityhopper is a great name for a regional airline, because it keeps the KLM brand and is kinda unique. But HOP! is really lame, and doesn't help Air France's brand that much. :P

Well, I just read some news that SAS will give free tickets in 2018 in exchange for passengers viewing ads. "We don't want to compete agains Norwegian with the price" they say. Well, not when the price is 0 anyway :P

Still some more training to do. Current license only allows single pilot, single engine VFR commercial flights within 50 nm of the airport, so I still need an IFR, twin engine multi-crew rating.

Well, that's quite a restrictive licence :P

Thats just the basic CPL license. You add all the ratings on top of the CPL. IR is slightly tougher than the rest, with a rather comprehensive flying exam for the CAA. MCC and twin are rather simple, without any exams. Same for EFIS-rating. Jet rating will come with the typerating.

So what typerating can the school give? B737 or A320?

Neither, they don't do typeratings. Most schools don't. Typeratings are very specific for some airlines. SAS won't hire pilots with a prior typerating, but they give a free typerating, albeit with dismal wages afterwards. Ryanair charges 214.000 kr for a 737NG typerating, but guarantees you a well paid job afterwords. Norwegian seems to accept most ratings. And most asian and african carriers don't really seem to care where you get it. They just need as many pilots as possible. Apparently wages in China are rising fast towards the 100.000 kr mark (per month), so the cost of the typerating is rather irrelevant.

But the MCC (MultiCrewCooperation) course is done on a 737NG sim.
