[pseudoswede] not necessarily your imagination. You will be assigned a "school run" wherein you operate the trip both in the AM (to school) and PM (from school), and you'll have a 'set' number of students that you will carry for both trips. Sometimes, in the morning, you get more students than the PM trip (the converse is also true). And, your run will be assigned to a school bus that will fit comfortably the number of students you'll carry.
Also, if you wish, you can even sign up to become a "substitute" (sub for short) driver wherein you basically do a regular driver's trip when he is away or absent for the day, and it can range from a short but crowded run to a long yet pleasant run. If ever you become a substitute driver, though, you would need to peruse the route guides (there are currently about 15 of them right now) so that you can be prepared to operate the trip using the bus that the company will give you. So basically, when you sign up for the company, you'll undergo bus driving training, and a practice run wherein you will operate the bus by yourself (via the forums), then when we deem that you are ready to get a bus of your own, we will let you pick a bus or we assign you one to begin your trip.
[matias] Nope, no special program is applied to it. It's a very interactive forum wherein you get to:
- Radio the drivers and the depot;
- Operate your bus using the route guide provided to you;
- Drive students to field trips, excursions, and much more;
- Get to work with the rest of the drivers in the depot; and
- Work your way to make it to the staff level.
Plus, if we note that you've got special skills (like mechanics knowledge, math knowledge, exceptionally good behavior, etc.), then we use those to review your profile and determine if you can be part of the staff where you will play a vital role to the company's future. And yes, we operate a lot of trips now within Seymour, with field trips and excursions I personally make (tailored for ease, comfort, and fun).
More updates on the way, so stay tuned. And, more importantly, three more driver spots open if you want to join Baden Transportation... with more field trips and excursions on the pipeline too.
