Hi, folks! My name is Anthony, a player and private world owner at Airline Mogul, and I am currently the General Manager for a school bus role-playing (RP) group. I would like to invite you to join Baden: KY, a division of Baden Transportation based in Seymour, Indiana. Founded in 2009, Baden is a school bus RP company that has been reliable and noteworthy in the school bus RP community, and it is currently looking for new drivers to drive the ever-growing number of school routes in a community in Kentucky (community to be determined). With over two years of safe tracking and reliability records, Baden will provide new drivers the appropriate training to drive school buses, as well as provide opportunities for managerial advancement, and opportunities to travel around Kentucky and the rest of the Midwest region. There is also a possibility to expand the company to operate coach buses, as well as transit vehicles.

If you are interested or have any questions (queries), feel free to ask me. Baden: KY's website is to be determined, so stay tuned.

Is it a computer game? Real life? A server game?

[matias, Virgin Siberia, Stephen] Baden: KY is a forum-based game, in which it is very interactive in nature. The website is currently under development (I will update the website once its ready), and we are in the process of procuring the buses needed to operate it. Also, the schedules that will be used will be based on US Eastern Standard Time (now with DST), which means I'll also post the equivalent times on UTC to ensure that all drivers will be in sync.

Baden: KY requires some needed participation from our drivers, but we are more than willing to work with you on training, driving, and even excursions. We've operated several RP games for the past six years (in which Baden, the parent company, has been in operation for the past three years), and they have been very successful in terms of providing very realistic and innovative experiences for the players.

Update: Baden: KY will not open for now; instead, interested members will be part first of Baden Transportation based in Seymour, Indiana. However, the Kentucky division is still being discussed by the staff, and you can decide whether you want to stay in Kentucky or join in the Indiana group.

As for the website, click here for more information: http://forum.badentransportation.info/ -- and for interested parties, visit the website or ask me questions here on the forum so that you can be informed about the group.

And, we are currently looking for at least two diesel mechanics to work for our company since one of our mechanics has left recently for good.

How do I drive a route? Do you use a certain program?

This kind of sounds similar to "virtual airlines" on Flight Simulator? You are assigned a route to fly, check-in for the flight on the website, fly the route on FS, then check-out on the website saying you've flown the route. For this, though, it seems like you're using your imagination.

[pseudoswede] not necessarily your imagination. You will be assigned a "school run" wherein you operate the trip both in the AM (to school) and PM (from school), and you'll have a 'set' number of students that you will carry for both trips. Sometimes, in the morning, you get more students than the PM trip (the converse is also true). And, your run will be assigned to a school bus that will fit comfortably the number of students you'll carry.

Also, if you wish, you can even sign up to become a "substitute" (sub for short) driver wherein you basically do a regular driver's trip when he is away or absent for the day, and it can range from a short but crowded run to a long yet pleasant run. If ever you become a substitute driver, though, you would need to peruse the route guides (there are currently about 15 of them right now) so that you can be prepared to operate the trip using the bus that the company will give you. So basically, when you sign up for the company, you'll undergo bus driving training, and a practice run wherein you will operate the bus by yourself (via the forums), then when we deem that you are ready to get a bus of your own, we will let you pick a bus or we assign you one to begin your trip.

[matias] Nope, no special program is applied to it. It's a very interactive forum wherein you get to:

- Radio the drivers and the depot;
- Operate your bus using the route guide provided to you;
- Drive students to field trips, excursions, and much more;
- Get to work with the rest of the drivers in the depot; and
- Work your way to make it to the staff level.

Plus, if we note that you've got special skills (like mechanics knowledge, math knowledge, exceptionally good behavior, etc.), then we use those to review your profile and determine if you can be part of the staff where you will play a vital role to the company's future. And yes, we operate a lot of trips now within Seymour, with field trips and excursions I personally make (tailored for ease, comfort, and fun).

More updates on the way, so stay tuned. And, more importantly, three more driver spots open if you want to join Baden Transportation... with more field trips and excursions on the pipeline too.

Oh, I nearly forgot about this:

On registration, there will be two verification questions, one of which asks what's the smallest "type" of school bus (size-wise), and here's the order:

- Type A (correct answer) - a bus built on a van chassis (i.e. Ford E450)

- Type B - an integrated chassis for smaller built buses (non-existent)

- Types C and D - an integrated chassis for the bigger buses (nose-front conventional is C, transit-style is D)

More details here.
