Game Data / Some help with Las Vegas area airports

I have found a great area for monthly to date passenger information that includes both passengers enplaned and deplaned for the three airports in the Las Vegas area.

Every month or so data is released for the month previously.

December 2007 YTD Passengers Enplaned and Deplaned for Las Vegas McCarren: 47,728,414

December 2007 YTD Passengers Enplaned and Deplaned North Las Vegas Airport: 132,722

December 2007 YTD Passengers Enplaned and Deplaned Henderson Executive Airport:  510,259

where do you base and where do you want to fly to.....

RNO to the Eastern Seaboard

Really...don't bother with Transcons until you have a nice shorthaul network.

You can run shorthauls with cheaper planes than those and actually make more cash!

This has always been my plan of attack in this game, but I always seem to get in on the transcon network from my first hub too late.

In my current planning, early on I see myself buying either one of two planes to run transcon routes:

Fairchild-Hiller FH-227B--56 seats--255MPH--2678mi--~$11 mil
Gulfstream II--19 seats--508MPH--3450mi--~$12 mil

My question now is which will make more money for transcon routes, the Gulf(1 mil more expensive) which has fewer seats but greater range and speed or the FH-227B(1 mil less than Gulf) with more seats but less range and 250MPH slower?

While I still plan to do the guess and test with these 2 planes, which one do you guys think will make me the most money?

General Chat / Looking to acquire gates at a few airports in Europe

Actually if you look at some of the big ticket ski areas like Jackson Hole in Wyoming and Gunnison, Eagle, and Montrose (Telluride) they have lots of winter service operated by A320s(UA) and 757s(UA,AA,CO,NW) mainline flights as well as plenty of CR7s and CR2s (UA,DL) with a smattering of Brasilias (DL-SLC) and Dash 8Q200s/300s (UA) as well as some really small birds like Great Lakes Airlines and their BE1900D.  I used to fly on Air Wisconsin Bae-146s(UA) DEN-ASE, DEN-EGE a few years back but they have all be replaced now with mainline A320s and CR7s and Dash 8s unfortunately.

Oh and my in-game airline has a large regional operation to every major small community in the Western US from our hub.  Its our bread and butter.  :wink:

Bugs / My Airline is not displayed in the "By Continent"

My airline, Pacific International Airlines, id #1973 is not displayed in the "By Continent" rankings, but is shown in the "Aircraft" rankings area.  I am pretty sure this must be a bug because after the original reset I was able to view my airline in the "By Continent" rankings but after this most recent reset my airline does not appear in the "By Continent" rankings.

Since it looks like this is going to be a very close race, I would suggest a compromise which would be in the mid 1950s, (1954,1955,1956,1957) which would give access to some of the early jets later in the round.

In the year 1950 (literally that year, not counting any following year) the longest range aircraft is 5520nm.

 What aircraft would that be?

Sorry, but I have never gone through the transition to a new round before, what happens during the reset?  Do we get to choose a new starting airport and what aircraft do we start with?  Also, what year do we restart at?

Are gates at a terminal we build usable by other players or are they exclusively for our use?

Will the game show who has built terminals and/or how many terminals have been built at an airport?
