You will increase your profit when closing this route, if you return the gate as well that is. Do note the following though:
1. If you are using multiple slots on the €50.000 gate, your formula doesn't work
2. You won't notice an immediate difference on the finance page, simply because at the start of each month you will already have paid for the gate, so you'll only see the real difference when looking at the finance page next month.

Yeah I closed down my routes at the end of the month (on the 24th) and returned my gates, I am not using multiple slots. I think the issue here is that I am based at an airport too small to operate profitably! haha fundamental problem 

so on the other routes that cost more per month I am also making a loss

I wanted to increase my profit by closing down some routes...

I noticed that i was making less than $2000 on certain routes where I pay a gate rental fee of $50,000 so I shut down these routes thinking that I would end up with a greater profit, but to my surprise I didn't.

If my math is good isnt it so that -->

daily route revenue x number of days = monthly revenue

so...

$2000 x 24 = $48,000

$48,000 < $ 50,000

Revenue < Costs = loss
?

Question for me is, why is PW 280 so short?! 

Because the worlds are generated automatically based on a number of random factors that dictate the length, size, map, starting year etc.

When looking at the country list Zimbabwe seems to have disappeared

When I follow the following path

Rent Gate > Countries > Zimbabwe

then Zimbabwe is missing from the country list

I personally couldn't care less. Americans have to be one of the most arrogant and ignorant nationalities in the world. Sorry to any non-ignorant Americans out there who actually know where Kazakhstan is on a map.. Or don't think that Europe is a country..

back on topic...if i was old enough, i would vote for Obama

hehe, you do realize that this map has the wrong capital city? Oh well, it doesn't really matter.


As for me I would rather have Obama and then Clinton. One thing which really concerns me is our environment and I believe that democratic candidates will address the problem of global warming better. Unless maybe Arnold Schwarzenegger would run, but at this point in time that is impossible of course.

Additionally, I fear that republican candidates might keep their aggressive course in the Middle East which would divide the world even further. It's unbelievable the amount of people who declare that they hate the United States.... and it wasn't always like this. Through Bush the US has lost a lot of credit. Somebody has to go out and build trust again....Especially Obama would seem to be the right guy  :wink:

It looks like you are flying 3 daily return flights to your destinations... don't do this! Last round I did the exact same thing as a noob  :oops:  hahaha .... I flew 7 return flights from Johannesburg to Gabarone! I found out that it was better to only fly 1 daily return (1 frequency) on my routes.... this is because, usually, when increasing frequencies the supply increases forcing the price down and you end up with less revenue/profit.  

Instead try to fly to numerous different airports.
