« on: December 22, 2007, 03:32:20 am »Because we're not sitting in them and there's no visuals yet. Right now everyone wants range, pax and money.

General Chat / What Aircraft do you prefer to buy? (Green Poll)
« on: October 16, 2007, 08:24:12 pm »i will be looking into longer range acf soon though to start making the jump across the pond....
with the smaller capacity acf, i am very happy with my DH.104s, they work great on short-mid range routes involving low-demand destinations....and they are decently quick and cheap...not to mention how cool looking they are

« on: October 16, 2007, 07:59:03 am »for example:
US: N###xx
UK: G-xxxx
D: D-xxxx
MX: XA-xxx
and will there be any ability to customize it to your airline? like with the US N#'s how the two letters at the end are often specific to the airline (like how Delta has DA/DL/DN, etc...)

General Chat / Have your say, What year do we start in?
« on: October 10, 2007, 03:10:42 am »I don't think a DC-3 ever held 32 people. A C-47 might have in military configuration.
ya, and most of the time when it did, they exited the plane mid-flight....i doubt our pax. want to do that
----
and why is everyone hating on the prop-liners? have you never met one in person (static desplays and in museums dont count)? they are pure magic......yes, i love jets too, but man...we would be nowhere without the great radial engined airlines.....
radials were THE standard engine of the time period (50s-mid/early 60s)....jets were rare and something extreamly special to see, like how the JT8D's were THE standard powerplant of the 70s and 80s with the SSTs (Concorde and Tu-144) being the rare specialty.....
then again, i work at an airport and am in contact with piston powered planes constantly which gives me a great appriciation for props....
