1) Avoid Wide Bodies if possible
2) Never buy planes over 150m

And, most jets (exclude Biz jets) should be thrown away when @ 2 (more expensive ones) to 3 yo (cheaper ones).

I think most of the favorable planes in AM have been converted from the old formula to the new one.....

This

And Apparently, 105 is not the max. pax it can carry.
It varies from 130 - 135 in different sources.

Also, the range should be much shorter than the one in the database.

General Chat / Re: Time Remaining

how about aircraft out of service for a while every few months as per the real life heavy checks?
Maybe we can hook the MX time with the aircraft price. And Automatically leases a replacement (from the market, if possible. If not, lease it directly from the manufacturer @ *certain percentage of the plane's price, but higher than the market price*)

Game Strategy / Re: Fuel consumption
« on: October 03, 2009, 03:05:26 pm »
there are no "standard fuel consumption"...
A plane uses less fuel in an approach and uses more in a climb...

The fuel consumption in AM is measured by Gal/hr, but its generated by a formula.

Its because the economic model in AM is " Lower price, more people will fly" <- That sounds astonishingly similar as what VIrgin Blue saids in their in-flight magazine for starting DJ.....

I suppose your plane is a DC-9, with 115 seats. Then you'll need lower price to attract 115 people to fly with you.

Whereas your competitor, Airline A, uses CRJ-100, with 50 seats. Then he/she will only need a price that 50 people will be willing to fly with you, which is, of course, higher than what your price have to be.
