Well, I am not really sure about this, because sometimes circumstances may arise that may force me to become inactive for some time, and that is not too convenient for the other players. Also, although I do not think it would really bother my airline plans and operations that much (since all a broker needs to do is accept a request, right? :P), I had actually never gone through a fleet renewal phase completely before, so I am not sure whether I know how to handle the replacements efficiently, and that may obstruct my operations.

Is it possible, though, for one to be broker for just a while, and maybe rotate the task among the players? It may also help to make the game more exciting and also may seem to be more fair.

Matias would make a better broker due to his more frequent activity :), but I am willing to try if you could excuse my inexperience and possible inactive days (or weeks :P)

If I were to do it it would be purely as a broker. In such a small world it wouldn't be profitable. Having players take turns would be logistically challenging to do, so consider it well before commiting :)

Agreed. Rotating brokers is actually an original and welcome idea, but I think it would be very difficult to implement.

If you want to be a broker but foresee that you will be absent at times (which happens to all of us) perhaps you could give an advance warning in the in-game forum, so that the players would know in advance that you will be away between certain dates?

That sounds like a good idea, letting players know that you will be away for a short while.

Yes, I can do that. I will try to notify everyone of impending absences ahead of time.
So as an airline/broker, will I actually gain profit from brokering that will be added to my airline's bank?

A broker has one bank account, if a broker has routes too then it goes to the same account.
When it is a broker in a public world then you can't have any routes, but a private world then it's up to the world owner

It can be challenging when you get many orders and have to prioritize, but it can be very quiet many times
