So who downloaded it? They removed the 2.5million cap, now you have 2 weeks. I'm on it now. Any questions anyone, want me to post screenshots or something?

Looks good, but I think I'll stick to what I have for the moment.

There are lots of features which you cant explain in screenshots, you just have to try it to see it. Such as aero shake. Shake one window, the rest minimises. The traffic was grand when downloading, they removed the "only first 2.5million people get to try it", so you have to 2 weeks if you want it. The licence expires August first, but RC version will be out by then. Then I'll get the real version for free because of MS Ireland TechNet. (I got Vista free)

I have one question, when you install the beta, does it overwrite your current version of windows? This would mean that you lose everything you had on the previous version and would have to redo everything. Is this a problem?

Well you can upgrade from vista and still keep all your files.

does the beta act like the actual released OS that is going to come out? if so, better download it in time for summer on my new computer; free MS OS! :p

It may be set to automatically expire after a certain date, such as the planned release date.

It expires August 1st, but before that date happends, there'll be a different, newer version to download. And then another version. And finally, if you're lucky enough to be invited to your national technet meeting for beta testing 7, you can get the full thing for free(thats how I got a free Vista copy).

:o me will kill for a full version of windows 7 during summer; looks like a replacement to XP as oppose to the filler vista

Windows 7 is faster than Vista and XP in almost every way. And it will be out somewhere near the end of 2009.

I'd rather wait till the Beta is over. I prefer a slow, stable XP rather than one iffy one.
