I highly doubt it being released before 2010. (That's what dktc said in 2007. Should be correct )

We'll have to see...

Can Stephen really code a whole game from scratch in a year?

Depending on how you guys would like AM to continue, and depending on how good you'd want IM to be, yes, it would be quite possible. Likely? Not at all.

Why just me? I didn't develop Airline Mogul on my own, there are a team of us who work on it constantly. With the right people IM could be developed by the end of 2010. On my own, as Rens stated, unlikely.

Well, you know, I think I can make a simple game that allows users to buy trains, and then have them ride between two pre-entered cities and change ticket prices. That would be IM basic. That, I could do within a year quite easily. That said, if you wanted multiple cities, or any kind of more dynamic gameplay, it would take well over a year. It just won't happen. Look at AM, which with multiple developers having worked on it for a period of three years, is still not completely finished, and most likely will never be. Games take time, especially when you have volunteers working on it who have other jobs, and lives and stuff to take care of.

That will be better than nothing in my opinion; copy AM's code and adapt it for trains sounds great :)

Shift the time forward into the 2050s.
