Umm.... we are getting large amounts of snow... so before you get your Eastern "ohhh look at how much snow we get dont complain" you have to realize that In seattle the elevation goes up from 0 to 500 feet in less than a mile before going back down to 150 feet and then to 300. Its very hilly in Seattle, resulting in icy hills which no one can drive up or down. Plus were forecasted to get 4-8 inches of snow and about 6 inches on Sat-sun.

yet.... we get a 2 hour delay again even though there isnt to much snow left on the road ways  :D

You've obviously never driven on the Saw Mill River Parkway. It's hilly AND curvy. ;)

Does the elevation go up from 0 to 500 to 300 to 400 in 1 mile?  ;)

Well they cancelled school today.... and I'll we've seen is snow melt..... as the snow has been delayed because we got a Rain/Snow shadow. However they still said 2-5 inches for this evening  :D

Yes, Seattlelites are pathetic, but the highest point in Seattle is like 650 feet high. Seattle is quite small, yet it can be snowing, raining, hailing, sunny, windy, cloudy, and foggy all at the same time in the city.....

I'm sure someone from Denver/Minneapolis/Northern Canada will come along and say that they have it the worst, to which I have to say I agree.

I live on a hill that goes up from sea level to 400 feet over 8 blocks  ^-^

school was cancelled today and is already cancelled for tomorrow as the high for tmrw is 26 and the low is 11!!! :P

We Denver-ites like to say how awful it is just to keep all you riff-raff away.

Snow rarely sticks around. We get 300 days of sunshine a year. And you can choose to go golfing or skiing (or both!) almost any day between October and June.

But seriously, Denver is cold and snowy. And cold. Really cold. And really snowy. Stay away.

Well the snow was heading right for Reno, then the big winds shifted it. So it snowed in Fernllie instead :P

But, we have snow in the weather for Monday, and i am also off now from school for my 2 week holiday, so thats nice :)

okay... so we got 6-6.5 inches on Thursday.... then we got 5.6 inches from Sat night-sun morn.... now we've gotten another 1.5 inches Sunday day..... were under a Winter Storm Warning with another 3-6 and possibly up to another 8 inches here! By tomorrow I expect to find 13-16 inches of snow piled up outside!

Tomorrows high is 32.... 24 followed by 33.... 26

So for all you Easterners, we are getting pounded  :) If all the snow stays around, Seattle could see its first white Xmas since 1990.
