Mr Orange suggested I start a post about the wonderful morning when all of Australia woke up to find out that the Dutch football team 2-1 on the 7th of September this year. Im not sure why Rens wanted me to start this post? To rub the failure in his face? Obviously  :P
I'll let Rens continue...

Oh, failure is a very strange thing. Failure is relative. For one, I don't think the Dutch football team failed on the 6th of September. I think they were as bad as they have been in almost every friendly match I've seen of them. The match did give us some nice things to look back at. For instance, for the first time in history, a Dutch goalkeeper playing in an international match has been presented with the red card. If it hadn't been for Australia's visit, this would never have happened. Now, we have a new listing in our history books.

Maybe he is proud of his team regardless of whether they win or lose. So he may enjoy watching his team lose!

On another note, is it really a good thing that a Dutch goalkeeper got a red card? Looking at it the other way, you spoilt your red card free goalkeeping record.

Well as the Dutch national football team does not lose often, it can be a very interesting experience for Rens

Yes, and correct, it was an interesting experience. Actually, looking at 2008, we did really good apart from two matches, the one against Australia and the one against Russia in the EC.

Oh, and pride isn't exactly the right word for describing what I feel when watching the Dutch team play, it's more like, erm, compassion.

That's Italian football for you :P You could also just have scored 3 goals, like we did, and you'd have won the match, like we did.
