Advantages
* Add unlimited gates when your base has zero gates left
* Recoup costs of building the terminal in the long run

Disadvantages
* High initial cost
* For every 10th terminal gate built, you must return 1 rentable gate (which may become disadvantageous if a competitor, who was previously shutout, grabs said-gate)

And, perhaps most importantly, lets you exceed the 25 gate limit for renting.

Unused rent gates are returned after 2 months. Unused built terminal gates are not returned because they are built.

So that means if i make 50 gates and only use 20, the unused 30 will stay with me??? Or am i asking for too much...... :P

ok so if you build a gate you are only charged the initial cost of building it right? no monthly charges? seems like it would make sense to build terminals at a certain point bc gate rentals get to be very high.

as far as i know you still pay a fee, but that fee is only 75% of total gate cost

ok now i am more confused. so do you pay a monthly fee for terminals or no?

seems like the only purpose if there was still a monthly fee would be to have more gates at a base than you are allowed to rent. i think the max you can rent is 25 right?

if there was no fee and all you paid was the one time cost to build than it would obviously make more sense to build a terminal and not rent gates each month.

i am thinking about building terminals in all my focus cities and returning all the rental gates - is that a good or bad idea?

Every month you pay a fee for renting the gate. This will range from €50 to €350 thousand. If you build a terminal you pay, in addition to the initial construction fee, 75% of the rental fee per month. If you are still expanding, you would be able to make more money by just buying some more planes and putting them on routes. However, if you have lots of money (and the game has enough time left for you to recover the initial cost in saved rental fees), it would make sense to buy some gates.
