What constitutes as a "month" in game?  Is every hour considered a day?

Just need someone to shed a little light on my nooby questions  :)

1 hour Real Time (RT) = 1 game day
24 game days = 1 game month (yes, in AM all months have 24 days and 24 days only)

So, 1 game month is always 1 RT day.

OK, try to avoid leasing planes or renting gates towards the end of the (game) month. That's because when a new month starts, you'll be paying rent again. ;)

a game month? So every 24 hours (RL) I'm paying for my gates?

Yes. Same for leases. On the 1st of every month. Along with maintenance, by the way.

Haha...something tells me I wont be as rich as I thought by tomorrow...unless gate fees and mx is factored into the end of the month projections.

Excellent!

Right now im running 80% gate usage out of my home airport.  I should be able to get two more routes in before im forced to purchase another gate, correct?

Also, any suggestions for cheap medium range a/c (W10) that could take 1200 nm? I need to get the the East Coast :D

Two 1.0 or 0.5 freq routes, yes (You should'nt need more than 1.0 on all but a few routes anyway).

Try the Fokker 70 with the second engine option, or maybe a CRJ-100ER/LR? I have both types and they're working well for me.

Each gate is enough for 10 slots (i.e., frequencies). If you have, say, 2 gates, 20% would mean 4 slots. You could create up to 4 full or half frequency routes. Best thing is to go to Gates --> View gates. Somewhere in there it'll show exactly how many slots you have free at each airport.

Regarding aircraft for W10, I don't have any data for models available in 1996. ATR 72 seem to be a popular, if somewhat pricey, choice. But since you're obviously just started, I'd suggest something smaller and, of course, cheaper. The Canadair CL-215T was a good choice in 1991. Maybe it still is. Embraer should also have a few nice models on offer, probably some variant of the EMB110.

Before buying, and particularly if you're still short on cash, have a look in the leasing market. Dirt cheap planes can do wonders for starter airlines.

I may lease out another starter plane tomorrow when there is a new "month". Ill let my cash collect over night...I only have 575k right now.  Leasing larger planes is still tough atm so I'll focus on more regional flying istead of trying to get the long-range routs.
