A little pet peeve of mine is airlines with irrelevant names.  I'd say the most common instance is airlines named after a certain country or region but the airline might not even have one gate in that area.  For example, an airline named Air India with it's only hub in Dallas.  Whenever I see this I'm just kind of like "... why? ".  This game kind of has an rpg feel to it, and bad names like that break the immersion.  A real airline with an irrelevant name would probably sink fast :P  But whatever, we're all free to use whatever names we like, and we all have our own opinions on what makes a good or bad name...

I don't see what the problem is myself. I mean, as long as the guy isn't saying something offensive in his name, I can't see why anyone would be annoyed with it. Sometimes it would seem out of place, but aside from that, people can choose to name their airline what they want. I have seen some even more strange airlines names out there than those anyways.

I've always used Dream but that can always change. Whenever I choose my airline name I base it on the route structure and the geographical location etc.

My friends called pinky airlines

Some players stick with the same airline name between rounds/worlds, even if changing hubs. I see nothing wrong with that. It's just a label and it even helps in knowing who's who.

"Immersion?"

I think you have more pressing issues to be concerned about.

Is there anything wrong with enjoying the game?  Without any sense of imagination you're just playing with numbers on a screen :s I see no issues here.

It's all about having a little fun, and taking little jabs at people after they've had a meltdown. Take mine (right now) for instance. How many airlines do you see named "Pigs Can Fly?" But as always, there's a story behind it.  8)
