Newbie here,question for new routes

Hey..im a newbie..just started today..i have 2 aircraft now,one is a leased..but i've made 1 routes but with two aircraft on that same route, from singapore to langkawi..however..when will my flight start to fly and when will i gained profit?..

when i look at my 'view gates' ,at both airport..my two aircrafts seem to have the little green circle beside it..what does that mean?..

The green button means that youve rented a gate in those airports and the yellowish-green button means youve a base in that airport.

OK...

Perhaps you changed it already because I can see your airline doing only one flight between Singapore and Langkawi. That's good. More than one aircraft on the same route is a difficult equilibrium to hold.

However, you are perhaps under the assumption that each aircraft can only do one route. That is not so. Each aircraft can fly 24 hours per day and, in that time, do as many routes as it has time to. A Nord 260, cover 453nm back and forth, allowing for turn time, takes just over 4 and an half hours. Your Nord still has over 19 hours free, so you should rent more gates at other airports and start new routes with it.

At the top of the hour, day changes in AM. That's when you receive your flights profits.

The green circles... they mean that those are your own flights. If they were yellow it would mean flights from members of your alliance (if/when you join an alliance). Red circles are for everyone else's.

ok..by the look at my finance, i dont have any gate revenue or profit...

Gates, per se, don't bring revenue. They allow you to establish routes. It is from those flights that you get some revenue.

Hint: go to the Admin area and set some prices for food and drinks. Yeah, it's the sixties. Any airline charging for basic services like these would have its managers shot. Come to think of it, any airline doing it in the 2000s could have its managers shot. And probably should, too.

Under your finance page, you have ticket and misc revenues.

You might want to use your planes mroe though. They have so many hours left.

yeah..ok,seems like i have to operate with 1 aircraft first..now i created about 4 to 5 routes under 1 aircrft..and still has 11 hrs remaining..shld i use it all?..

btw..is it normal to have a DOP of $++,+++ and in finance,total profit/loss would be $- +,+++,+++??...looks like im in trouble..

nah..all my flight frequencies are at 1 or 0.5..

Wait for the new month to start. Go to finances again and look at "Projected Totals", last line. If it is still negative, you are in trouble. Otherwise, no sweat.
