How often does your PC crash?
For me, more than thrice a week(XP SP2).

About once a year, or less. HP Pavilion laptop, XP. Its about 2 years old.

Me second laptop is even better. Bought it in 2000, and i have used it for 3 years in Africa, some hours in Swissair MD11s, and the remainder of the time in Denmark. It has not crashed for ages.

I have a HP Pavillion laptop and a HP Compaq desktop. They rarely ever crash. If your computer is giving bother and you have an Operating System CD. I'd recommend re-formatting. Of course it takes time to back up all important stuff and get your computer back to the way you want it, but it dramatically improves things if your computer is causing problems.

Have you contacted the manufacturer? Sounds like a bad product.

Mine only crashed once in its lifetime. That was when I plugged in my broadband... but it works fine.

Well, usually restoring my computer every 6 months.

Google around for "memtest" and get that program. Test your RAM. You'll be surprised at how often a faulty RAM module causes hard to diagnose problems.

Also, are you overclocking? Do you have a proper PSU? Does your computer crash under stress or just about anytime it feels like?
