My laptop has a original AC adapter but the laptop is asking for DC power? I've been using AC for a good 3 years without any problems until a week ago and I'm not sure should I get the original adapter or should I get a DC one. also bearing in mind that i cant find any DC sony adapters?

Need quick answer as this sites going to be blocked from school again

Contact the manufacturer. Easiest piece of advise.

You've already got one. Your laptop adapter 'adapts' the AC power from the wall into the DC power that your laptop needs to charge it's battery so don't worry. If you really had been whacking in 220V AC for 3 years directly into your machine it wouldn't work by now!

I give you warm, but nice - not so much.
