Because I'm incompetent at using the search function, having 5 different planes on the same route is ALLOWED?  Correct me if I am wrong.

It's allowed, yes, but it's not recommended.

Correct answer: If those 5 planes combined do not result in more than 2 n.5 frequency flights on that one route, it is allowed.

But it's still a senseless waste of money

I'll also do that if I have loads of plane with 1 hour left and the route is a VERY short route
e.g. Chicago O'Hare - Chicago Midway / Executive

Ok, im talking about NYC-PHL with 5 A/C at $19, which is bringing the entire route down.

Well, that airline might have a supremely masterful strategic plan in the works for that route - or they just plain don't know what they're doing.

Why don't you send him a message, asking them what he's up to?

So admin said this situation is legal.
Your choices are to leave this route or to fight until 1 euro for this route, given that we are advised not to whine for annoying but legal things here.
Actually profit of almost all routes with competition decrease with time. It is just a matter of time. So you should bear with it.

tips: If you find some people setting a price that low, you can see them as doing charity or disaster relief. Join their force or leave them alone.
