When i lease the plane, immediately cash is taken from my balance. However, the lease rate is monthly, so, at the end of the month i will also have to pay the lease again. The question is, if this is the case, if i start leasing the plane at 23rd, i pay ie. 100,000 bucks. Then on the 24th, i will have to pay again 100,000 ?

I'm so new here and would like to have some explanation, thx.

That is quite right. Sometimes you should defer leasing a plane until after the month changes.

The same goes for gates, btw.

So, to maximize things, i've got to do it on the 1st then, quite unrealistic isn't it, it should be pro-rated. Anyway, thank you for your answer. : )

It will be under revision with the whole leasing system, but right now it is as it is. Btw, the ticket prices aren't realistic as well. We need to reduce them

My evening prayer will be sth like dis:
'Dear Lord, I hope my ticket price will not decrease anymore as my entire airline has been a whole chaos since the ticket warfare started..................................... ............................................ ..................................
By te name of Jesus Christ, Amen.'

Like we do anything else! All over the world, at all hours, tiny mice walk thousands of miles in a frantic effort to bring prices lower... and lower... and lower still!

No, what "we" need to do is to bring costs higher.

Bring costs higher is OK for me.
Just change the script of calculating ticket prices and LFs a bit whil you are changing the script of costs and make 'our' finance page more 'comfortable' for us to take a look.
I dare not to take a look in the Finance page for I have a great fear of the column 'maintainence cost' .

Higher costs won't solve everything. I still firmly believe in micro-management to slow down the game.

I still dont fully understand the term 'micro-management' since it was brought up.

Yeah, right. Now, in the context of Airline Mogul, what's your idea of what micromanagement should be?

Are we talking deciding where to place lavatories in each plane, as someone suggested? Hiring each pilot and f/a? Having at least 4 fare classes for each route and setting each one individually?

Not quite. More detail in plane management, an overhaul of the pricing system including fare classes, better cashflow records, more changes in loadfactors, flight numbers, financial data per flight including historic flights, those things so people actually have to check the results of what they have been doing and change data accordingly.

OK. For a moment there I was worried.

I'm not terribly much in favour of having the system do all the work (leaving the player as a glorified button-pusher) but I'll have to say that if more data were available per plane and flight, some people might realize how much money they're loosing even when they see an apparently nice positive "profit" per route.
