I thought the minimum lease rate was 5% of the cost of a new plane. Has this been changed? The game is allowing me to offer planes for lease at far less than 5%.

Or maybe it was mentioned somewhere and I failed to notice...

Anyway, those are good news. Maybe now it is possible to lease a big jet withouth going bankrupt.

Thanks.

Probably not, I generally hear about items like this when I make a post saying No and Will jumps in and says Yes, but forgets to tell me.

Well, i think, after the airplane leasing rates bottom have been eliminated, we need to know what is the basic maintenance cost for each plane. Therefore, we could establish the best leasing rates for each planes.

Low leasing price causes the feeding problem. I've found somebodies suspicious of eating planes. :P

grar. i swear i posted here.

it was reduced to a lot closer to 2%... i forget the exact number.  More or less, it was bumped closer to (though not necessarily perfectly) in line with the minimum lease rate that is possible for brokers in some scenarios.  this was primarily an effort to make leasing 747's and other large aircraft possible, as at 5% the minimum rates were far too high.  Even at 2%~ it may be too high, but it's far better then it was.

No. this is not likely to be readily up for change again in  the near future.

Sure. The last 90's round I saw had many people offering 747s at 4,5 million Euros!

In the 2000 round leasing a 747 was a bad idea because it can cost 10 million euros   But there were still people leasing them from me.

Oh, you could of course be fooled (but that neeever happened to me :? ). You could also lease a 747 for 25 millions during that round. But usually you could do deals through the forum so that you got your aircraft cheaper than now

I was not fooled but that was because I was doing charity that round. I was kind of tired refining price. (I had 4000+ routes iirc)
