What does multiple *.5 routes mean?

I saw that from the administrator's post, this is not allowed and will be punished. What does this mean? I do have lots of *.5 flights and sometimes a plane with have 0.5 flight in 2 places. What is the problem? Thanks.

Actually, the second example is also legal as there are only two planes doing frequencies ending in *.5. Only if the first plane was doing 3.5 or 4.5 or similar would it be illegal.

To elaborate on pseudoswede:

Example #1 - Legal

City A to City B
1 plane doing 4 frequencies
1 plane doing 1 frequencies
1 plane doing 3.5 frequencies

Example #2 - Legal

City A to City B
1 plane doing 4 frequencies
1 plane doing 0.5 frequency
1 plane doing 2.5 frequency

Example #3 - Illegal

City A to City B
2 planes doing 0.5 frequency
1 plane doing 1.5 frequencies

As long as a route between one city pair (A->B) has two or less x.5 frequencies on it, you're fine. More than two, you're breaking the rules.

What is the rationale of this rule?

I *think* that in previous rounds 0.5 routes commanded a price premium that was somewhat excessive. So, it was much more profitable to have, say, 4 planes doing 0.5x than 1 plane doing 2x.

To an extent, that still happens, so abusing 0.5x frequencies gives the player an unfair advantage.

On the other hand, some longhaul routes are difficult or impossible to do at full frequency. I *suppose* that's why more than one .5x frequency is still allowed.

I try to avoid the n.5 routes.  I do have 2 732 biz jets doing 1.5x each to LHR and AMS, which of course are long-distance routes.  I may drop the ".5" to make more money tho...
