Since my airline is based in Vancouver, I've been naming them after Canadian politicians...

I used to do something like that on my first round when based in LHR, instead of naming them cities of the world, I named them to the cities that is their primary destination

Mine is registered then named, like:

How my registration works:

(Country) 9M - (Airline) V (Aircraft Type) A(which is my BAe 146-100)  (letter registration, so like the first of these type is A) A

9M-VAB "Segamat Kuala Lumpur" (which means Spirit of Kuala Lumpur), BAe 146
9M-VBA "Segamat Malaysia", Embraer EMB 110P2
9M-VBB "Segamat Pahang", Embraer EMB 110P2, etc......

I used to give the registration numbers (PH-***). But right now, they just fly around nameless.

Last round they were always the "Something Wind". Such as "Pakistani Wind" or "Bahrain Wind". They were named for their primary destinations.
