Mostly SBS's are only used in the UK so thats normally where you'll only see traffic.

I'm feeding my SBS data there so have a look around the North West of england area and you should see traffic... (look around Manchester, UK)

Its a real time radar box basically. It picks up anything with a Mode S transponder. (Within a certain distance)

It's a very nice little gizmo actually :)
We are setting one up for the south part of Sweden, not sure if we'll feed to openatc, but we might.

Here's another one covering parts of Denmark and Germany, unfortunately it does not feed to open atc either :(

You have to watch what you do with them tho...

Here in the UK, from what i believe its illegal to broadcast the info without a 5 minute delay. You better check the local laws before openly sharing your data ;)

its illegal to listen to ATC in a broadcasted fashion, But dont think its illegal to use a scanner to recieve the transponders information

It depends on the country.

I believe that your allowed to listen to ATC in the UK, but not let anyone else hear... However, the authorities just turn a blind eye  :D
