Have not been able to play the last two days. LF dropped dramatically and I was passed by many competitors in the overall rankings. I wont be No1 in Central America soon  Have ordered plenty aircrafts but I cannot do anything until they arrive

DOP 9.5M

Aww, sorry to hear that mate!  You gave me some fairly valuable advice on how to run my airline.  I opened up 3 bases now, and here is the latest on my airline:

Thanks for feeling with me.

My purchased aircrafts arrived and I bought some used ones. Then I opened a base at SJU - et voila - my DOP is now at 14M :D

Hey, anytime!  I purchased several additional aircraft myself, 4 DC9-30s, and a Boeing 732 Business jet myself.  My DOP is just under 10 Million, and my airline worth just climbed passed the 1 Billion mark 3 days ago!  I may not get my DOP up as high as yours, but I figure at least 12 Mil or so :-)

The 732 will be used to launch LHR and/or AMS.  I secured gates before they were gone forever...  Altho, if an alliance member launches service from any of their bases to PIT, DCA or TPA, then I will consider dropping my route(s)...

I might just do AMS-DCA, but if you want to keep that route I'll just make it BCN-DCA.

Anyway, after three days of doing nothing but writing essays on viewing strategies, I have a DOP of 31M with too many planes doing nothing, 36 737-300's and 3 767-200's on order and quite a lot of brokerage requests taken.

No no no!  I won't get my 732 Biz jet for a while, which will likely be based out of PIT.  If you want to do AMS-DCA, do feel free!  Besides, DCA will be used for mostly domestic connections, with a few routes to the Caribbean.  You'll certainly have tons of feed at this end!

PM me if/when you launch this service, then either one of us could post it in airline reports!

And Welcome to DCA!! :D  :D  :D

I suppose we could co-exist on some routes, but then there's the threat canibalizing each other   :o  :(

Ok!

At this point, I am considering using L-1011-500s and 742s for international flights.  The L-1011s wil be used on transatlantic/European flights and to South America, while the 742s will be used for Middle East, Asia, and the South Pacific.  I will probably acquire about 15-20 L-1011s, and roughly 10-15 742s, as there will only be a few routes I'll fly to Asia, the Middle East and South Pacific.  That's preliminary at this point, but that's what I am going with.

Maybe some 757s will do transatlantic service...
