2: Do i need to have much money?

If you want to be an independent broker, you can just start a thread in the Aircraft Market forum. What you offer and what discounts you will provide are up to you.

No you don't need any money, just that you won't be able to provide any service

Doesn't matter even if you were an official broker (which chances are you will not be able to become one in the near future). You still need money.

Really. How many "independent brokers" are really successful? Sure, they may have a few customers (and that's just because they lease planes out at 5% on the open market), but are they really stealing a bulk of your business? None of them can offer planes at -10% markup, and anyone that uses an independent broker with a higher markup is a fool. It amuses me that a certain indepenent broker had so many customers when those customers could've gone to you for an even bigger discount (plus, your system is automated without having to wait for the middleman to deliver the planes).

I have suggested it, but I think the leasing price floor should be lowered (or eliminated) for planes older than X years. I think official brokers would get a lot more business.

I think its just a shame that people are defeating the purpose of the game by offering these fake services. Have a look at the aircraft market thread, how many threads on the first page are actually about aircraft, not fake brokers?

These people are taking up places on the game which should be going to people who want to start an airline.

Ah well, rant over ;)

My opinion is if someone want to broker planes, let him. If someone want to buy planes from a certain broker for higher rates, let him. Sam, relax. No point worrying about the $$ or those quote fools unquote. We can't compete in terms of networth anyway, and the more money those players pay buying planes from others, the better

As for the purpose of the game... there really is no purpose, except us clicking off buttons and typing in numbers without meanings to a computer who then generates something without meaning for us to interpret. The process remains largely the same regardless what script the computer uses to generates those data.

I just don't know why people order planes from some unofficial broker at 3% markup. It costs you more, and you'll often have to wait longer before you get it, than when you order it yourself. Official brokers offer around -5% the last time I checked, which gives you a nice discount. Just don't get it. Not that I care about the unofficial brokers, because some of them are dependent on official brokers for their planes.

Jps had a good one.

It still makes me sob to think that that once-lively and joyful spammer had to leave the game. :(
