What makes Orangeair, hampo, and i think dex express the "offical" brokers? what makes them different from all the other brokers, and what does it mean to be a broker?

See the sticky topic with the same name in General Chat in this forum.

Orange and myself applied when Stephen first proposed this arrangement. Skylite and Hampo joined after the other 2 original brokers quit / went inactive.

We are different as in all the other so-called brokers are in fact players only. We are the only brokers in this game. You could enjoy up to -10% on private brokerage requests if you order through us, as oppose to -2% for others. We could still make money out with -10% while other don't make any profit at 0%, and lose money at -2%.

We have the obligation to take 90% of the scraps between us four. We don't even have a choice as to what scraps we get. They are just dumped into our hangars, with money deducted from our bank accounts. We are supposed to use those plane, through sales or leases, to help other players, especially the new ones. We also keep the withdrew models circulating on the market.

Other than those, we help with all the side works of AM, including beta testing, being the sounding boards for ideas, writing the Wiki (for Orange, and occassionally myself), and other side work.

In short, it means work. It means obligation to the game. It mean we have to put in effort whether we like it or not to earn a little bit of reward.

Skylite is around.

Orange is still MIA, though.

Of course, I have brokerage requests with D and Hampo for over 12 hours, and they still haven't been picked up.

Sorry about that. I was busy adding planes and testing the new user list feature that I didn't check the request last night. Then this morning I overslept and got an embarassing morning call from my department for the lab I have
I am accepting the orders now, although I smell like peanut butter squash + thrawed chicken breast + sanitizer + garbbage
