A Distance Calulator Would Be Nice

I hope this is the right forum to post this in, if its not then maybe a moderator can move it. I think it would be helpful to have a small tool that would calculate the distance between airports so nobody would have to buy a gate before the know if their aircraft have the range to reach it. Just my two cents...

This exists.  Look for "Research Route" in the menus.

It's in the Veiw Routes menu, under the "Default setting."

What happened to the tool where you could search for gates within an specified range of an airport? It was there before... but gone now..

That is supposed to be a premium feature which you would have to pay to use. We accidentally released that and it is now locked again.

Not until
- multi-world implemented, and
- more premium feature ready for use.

Multi-world has to be implemented first because the developers are going to code the premium features are finishing the multi-world (according to their to-do list... good thing I checked last night).

Until I found the "Research Route" function, I was plotting via mapquest place-to-place directions.  It was really pathetic :D

Id like to see the Research routes menu allow me to use airport codes.  We just hit 2,000 airports, and having to scroll threw them all every time makes it un-usable.

i still use research route for the longer overseas routes research

Yes, they are going to free up some time for the premium users for other things (provided they have a life outside AM :P )

No, you need to pay for those features.

Hope these "premium features" won't spread everywhere... might kill competition, prevent some people from playin and/or create a huge gap between thse who paid and tose who didn't as those last one would be a ta disadvantage...unless that's what you like, AM would soon because and All-pay game.
Maybe i m going too far in thinking? :D

Anyway so far AM's been great thx
