Similar stuff has been reported for renting gates...however, for sending mails to an airline via PM, it says:

"Message sent sucessfully to the airline!"

a successful message would be

"Message sent successfully to the airline!"

Minor one, in the drop-down box in the 'Rent Gate' section:

should be:

1 gate (i.e. without the 's')
2 gates

It should be Vietnam not Viet Nam
Actually...it is correct both ways 8)
Not in English, it's not.

Unless we start seeing "Espana" and "Deutschland" in the game.

BTW, I aggravates me to no end that airports aren't consistently listed as city served first, then name.  While the following are listed as expected:
- (YYZ) Toronto-Pearson
- (YUL) Montreal-...Trudeau
- (CLT) Charlotte-Douglas

... the following have (that I can think off hand), quite frankly, crappy listings in light of the fact that we have to select it from a pull-down menu:
- (SNA) John Wayne Airport - Should be listed either "Santa Ana-John Wayne" or "Orange County-John Wayne"
- (BWI) Glen Burnie - Should be "Baltimore/Washington"... I have no idea why it's listed as "Glen Burnie" but the airport's full name is "Baltimore/Washington-Thurgood Marshall Airport".  Who the hell is Glen Burnie?
- (PVD) Theodore Francis Green State - A big "WTF?" here.  We just know it as "Providence"
- (STL) Lambert-St. Louis - Should be "St. Louis-Lambert"
- (SJC) Normal Y Mineta-San Jose - Should be "San Jose-Mineta International"
- (OAK) Metropolitan Oakland Int'l - Just call it "Oakland"
- (MSY) Louis Armstrong-New Orleans - Flip it around.
- (CMH) Port Columbus - Just call it "Columbus"
- (BDL) Windsor Locks/Hartford - Yes, it's in Windsor Locks, but it should be listed as "Hartford-Bradley"
- (ANC) Ted Stevens - Should be listed as "Anchorage-Ted Stevens"
- (AUS)
- And the big one... why is ATL listed as "Hartsfield-Atlanta" and not "Atlanta" or "Atlanta-Hartsfield"?

And if the named airport should be the listing, then may I suggest the following edits:
- LHR - Change to "Heathrow"
- JFK - Change to "John F. Kennedy Airport"
- LGA - Change to "LaGuardia Airport"
- DCA - Change to "Ronald Reagan National Airport"
- CDG - change to "Roissy"
- ORD - Change to "O'Hare Int'l Airport"
.... just to make it a little more hard.

I'm sure there are more.  I imagine most of the issue above are because of local references... and to those locals, I say "Eff you, locals! The rest of the country doesn't care who the airport is named after!"

I feel better now.

BTW, I aggravates me to no end that airports aren't consistently listed as city served first, then name.

We are in the process of making that happen, seperating the airport name and the city that it is located in. The issue is that while we are updating our large database, the city name is not listed until we have finished the updating.

Quote
... the following have (that I can think off hand), quite frankly, crappy listings in light of the fact that we have to select it from a pull-down menu:

Fact is that they are ALL correct based on FAA listing.

Quote
- (SNA) John Wayne Airport - Should be listed either "Santa Ana-John Wayne" or "Orange County-John Wayne"

City name: Santa Ana
Airport name: John Wayne Airport-Orange County

Quote
- (BWI) Glen Burnie - Should be "Baltimore/Washington"... I have no idea why it's listed as "Glen Burnie" but the airport's full name is "Baltimore/Washington-Thurgood Marshall Airport".  Who the hell is Glen Burnie?

City name: Glen Burnie
Airport name: Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshal

The airport is located in Glen Burnie according to FAA record.

Quote
- (PVD) Theodore Francis Green State - A big "WTF?" here.  We just know it as "Providence"

City name: Warwick
Airport name: Theodore Francis Green State

The airport's name is the name. What you "know it as" does not make it correct.

Quote
- (STL) Lambert-St. Louis - Should be "St. Louis-Lambert"

City name: St. Louis
Airport name: Lambert-St Louis International

Once again, that is the official name of the airport. Whether the airport management should change it is none of our business.

Quote
- (SJC) Normal Y Mineta-San Jose - Should be "San Jose-Mineta International"

City name: San Jose
Airport name: Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International

Same deal as the above two.

Quote
- (OAK) Metropolitan Oakland Int'l - Just call it "Oakland"

City name: Oakland
Airport name: Metropolitan Oakland International

You may want to suggest that through the contact page on the airport's website.

Quote
- (MSY) Louis Armstrong-New Orleans - Flip it around.

City name: Metairie
Airport name: Louis Armstrong New Orleans International

Flip it around... and change it from right to wrong.

Quote
- (CMH) Port Columbus - Just call it "Columbus"

City name: Columbus
Airport name: Port Columbus International

What it is called is how it should be called. It is not in our control how the airport is named.

Quote
- (BDL) Windsor Locks/Hartford - Yes, it's in Windsor Locks, but it should be listed as "Hartford-Bradley"

The airport is currently listed as "Windsor Locks - Bradley International" in our database. Either you have mis-read or the world you are in is not updated yet.

City name: Windsor Locks
Airport name: Bradley International

Quote
- (ANC) Ted Stevens - Should be listed as "Anchorage-Ted Stevens"

City name: Anchorage
Airport name: Ted Stevens Anchorage International

Quote
- (AUS)

City name: Austin
Airport name: Austin-Bergstrom International

Can't see anything "wrong" with that....

Quote
- And the big one... why is ATL listed as "Hartsfield-Atlanta" and not "Atlanta" or "Atlanta-Hartsfield"?

City name: Atlanta
Airport name: Hartsfield - Jackson Atlanta International

Because that is how it is named, according to FAA listings.

Quote
And if the named airport should be the listing, then may I suggest the following edits:
- LHR - Change to "Heathrow"
- JFK - Change to "John F. Kennedy Airport"
- LGA - Change to "LaGuardia Airport"
- DCA - Change to "Ronald Reagan National Airport"
- CDG - change to "Roissy"
- ORD - Change to "O'Hare Int'l Airport"
.... just to make it a little more hard.

Some of these have been changed, and some of them will be changed.
Chicago O'Hare International is the official name, and will not be altered.
AĆ©roport de Paris Charles de Gaulle is the official name, and therefore will not be changed either.
LHR, JFK and LGA are listed correctly, once the city names are shown, and taken away from the entries that were first updated.
DCA's official name is Ronald Reagan Washington National.

This is not about making things "harder". This is to help with the "realism", which a lot of players ask for. If we do not use an accurate database, some people like you, but with an opposite view, will come and complain about the inaccurate information.

naughty boy! zero-tolerance about the talking of the name of Taiwan on this forum. AMDF will chase you. :P
I suggested calling it: "Taiwan, State of China", as state is an ambiguous term, but Daniel said "No." :P
Just wondering here, but wouldnt:

Australia be AUSTRALIA, EX-BRITISH CONVICT STATE OF
and Singapore? SINGAPORE, CHINA'S PUPPET OF
and Sri Lanka? SRI LANKA, THE TEA MAKERS OF
and Gibraltar? GIBRALTAR, THE NOT-SO-BRITISH-BUT-IN-FACT-MORE-SPANISH TIP OF
:P :D

Ok... I was getting carried away....

JNB (O. R. Tambo International) - missing the first "a" in the word "International".
