Forget it. Move onto another route. If someone doesn't want to earn money this early into a round, either you go lose money with him, or you move on. Simple. Stop complaining. You won't get any sympathy from any players (except maybe newbies like you).

It is still competition.  If this happened in real life, who would the other airlines complain to?  Nobody.  They would either match the price or fly somewhere else.

It's bad aircraft utilization on his part.  If you react right to it then you'll get a leg up on him.

You've got 3 options:

1. Lower your fare to match/beat his.  If the fare is $15 this isn't a very good idea.
2. Lower your fare until you get back to 100% load factor.  $15 isn't the natural price on this route, so there are still passengers left over.  Even with him at $15 you'll still be able to get a plane full of passengers at a higher fare.  You won't make as much money as you did before, but you'll still make more than he's making.
3. Take your plane to a different route.  Keep an eye on the old route though.  If he keeps the fare at $15 with no competition then he's pretty stupid.  He'll probably raise the fare after you leave.  When he does that, re-open the route with a lower fare than he has.

Fair? No :P

Buisiness? Yes. ;)

I had similar at the end of last round. Airline kept dropping prices down below me to take 100% load every time to the point of a $1000+ ticket price route was under $100. So I just dropped it to $1 for a few days & he left.

Reality is cruel. If people want some cuddles, forum is not the place. (<-- I am being rude again, by your standard)

(I don't even know why I bother to respond. Should have just locked this topic.)

I think Max gave you the best answer.

Does it suck?  Yes.  Is it legal?  Yes.

Just remember - this game is all about competition.  It's admittedly never pleasant but that's the way life works!

Just get yourself a gate at another airport and than put your plane on that route- this early in the round that shouldn't be a problem.

If you try to compete with the airline you're both gonna loose a lot of potential money, because you're both about the same size and can't destroy each other...
