is there a feature to build your own gates in AM?

i ask because a "Gates Built" column has appeared on the view gates page

Moved to General Chat. Its part of the terminals feature. So its coming down the tracks as such.

sorry, adding some of the peripheral stuff first, about halfway done with the actual terminal building scripts at the moment.

I have a question about this also say I build a terminal with 30 gates and I only use 25 what will happen to the 5 other gates? Could lease them out?

No subletting of terminal gates is in the works at present.  BUT if you build a terminal with 30 gates, those 5 gates are yours indefinitely (some rules and adaptations may be applied to closing a focus city with a terminal however, as time goes on).

ok so once we build it it ours tell the next reset? even if we close the hub or FC? which BTW will have hubs and FCs soon or just have the bases?

im guessing there will be a substantial fee to build a terminal with x amount of gates plus the fee to create a base, will we have to pay for the gates and the terminal as well?

In game at present is originating base (essentially a FC) and focus cities (the ones you expand to).

Next age i can garauntee we'll still have originating base (still essentially a FC), and focus cities.  We'll be adding terminals to the mix, which basically mean you can build your own gates (and will prevent you from renting gates).  When a FC is closed which has a terminal, some special rules will likely kick in.

I'm hoping i can finish up terminals within the next 48 hours and launch them under temporary rules ASAP.  Next age, there will be caps on rented gates (which would force terminal building) and slightly different rules for when a FC is closed which has a terminal (to put it in line with the rented gate cap)...  A few other nuances will change, but nothing too shocking and nothing that won't be clearly stated where possible (main page, forums, wiki).  

After that, plan out the integration of auto-return of leases into the hourly script, plan out integration of autobankrupting of inactive airlines into the daily script (which condenses cashflow logs).  Two or three small updates to pages to make them easier to use (most notably view routes is due to get two or three more options in that drop down menu, as well as a page preference as to which is loaded automatically).

Then hubs.  Definitely trying to get hubs out there.
