Why does AM keep copping out???  Every 2 minutes, literally, the game gives me this:

This Account Has Exceeded Its CPU Quota

I find this to be serious because I can't update my routes, and I imagine that nobody can...  Are there too many people playing at one time on here?  What is causing this?

Not only that but your can kiss your DOP income goodbye.

Today alone I've lost over 65 million because the server was crapping out at the turn of the hour (each game day).

This is screwing me up big time because I have orders coming in yet the income isn't thanks to the server crapping out. I could be in deep doodoo.

We're looking into it as fast as we can.  I promise.

I've been tweaking what i can to speed it up.  I'm hoping i shaved around a second off of the hourly script at month end (doesn't sound like much, but it is).  I shaved a little off of the gate validation (hopefully helping out route stuff).  As i've been going along throughout i've been cleaning up pages trying to make 'em more efficient.

I swear we're doing everything in our power to fix this.

Yeah it's still happening. If they were my webhost I would have a little chat with them.

I imagine this is rather infuriating for everyone.  Blue Planet said he's lost quite a bit because of it as well.  I have no idea what my losses are...  Do I wanna know...?

Depending on how bad and how long this continues, we will roll back the date  a month or two if need be.

Stephen is going to talk to the host as soon as he can, i'm tweaking the code as best i can.  There's little i can actually do with certainty.

(Personally, i'm suspecting the hardware for the db troubles, who knows what else).

by rolling back, does it mean that we lose whatever we do during this period after the roll back?

No. we just reset the date

(thereby planes available will reset to dec 1, 2003 as well as a little extra time added to the game overall, roughly restoring the day lost due to this... unfortunate circumstance).

From what I've seen for the past two days. The server is fine from 0700-1159 Eastern Time in the US.  Exactly at 1200 EST that's when it all goes to hell. Maybe because people are on lunch break or whatever, so too many people check in at once.

1300 EST still crapping out like crazy, every 2 minutes or so.

BTW. Admins, game devs are located where exactly?

BTW I don't blame the AM devs. The problem is this webhost.

Maybe we should all start donating to Stephen so he can migrate the entire site to a better webhost

Why not? They could setup a Paypal donation in a few minutes. I would definitely donate. Just $10-20 bucks from everyone would help out a lot.

I raised $5000 like that through paypal. :)

For what?

And I'd probably donate as well, I like the game and I've had fun playing it for quite some time.

And of course, I'd certainly donate (being an admin).

If you can hold with us until monday, that'd be great.
The reason why is, Stephen isn't in "the office" from Thursdi to Mundi, and therefore, nothing can be done.

Down here though, it's going down all day, no matter what time it is. (friggin' bigpond.)

We might close login, due to this bug, but for this weekend it'll be open.
